Most of you know that Matt Newsone is the
curator of the Scottish Tartans Museum
located in Franklin North Carolina.

He has been a wealth of information for us
on this site.

When I was in Franklin to attend their Burns Dinner,
I picked up a copy of Matt's Book (CD)
"The Compendium of District Tartans".

http://www.district-tartans.com/

It is a wonderful resource of information about
tartans from all over the world.
I HIGHLY recommend this CD for anyone who has an interest in tartans.

It is on CD rom due to the sheer size of it.
Matt showed me his copy of the printed out
addition which dressed out over 450 pages.
Often I find images of tartans on the computer
are hard to view.
These images are quite clear and
give you a great feel for the tartan.

Again I recommend this CD as a great addition for
your own library.
For those who make tartan kilts, I
see this has being a needed tool to help with those
customer questions.
