Cartridge Pouch or Sporran?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...gory=1060&rd=1
This looks realy sweet to accompany my Gordon Tartan but the dimensions make me think it is too bulcky for a sporran. Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

badge...
I believe the badge is an actual Gordon Highlanders sporran shield (sav, back me up on this?) that you can order from the Gordon's Museum in Aberdeen:

You're right, Todd. The sporran shields are definitely Gordon, but that is also definitely a modified enfield cartridge box. The sporran shields were part of regulation dress from the mid 19th C. until amalgamation in 1994. The cartridge box, however, is 1. not a sporran, 2. even as a cartridge box, is not of the correct style for the Gordons, and 3. not a sporran! It is of the british style, but was never found with a sporran shield and tassels! If you really want to compliment a nice Modern Gordon, go with a simple black semi-dress sporran with the Gordon sporran shields! Of course, I'm always partial to the grey and black horsehairs (but at $350, they are not very practical!!). It looks like the seller put key rings on the belt loops of the cartridge box and removed the forward box flap to just include the inner flap and attached the tassels and shield. I would recommend avoiding this item.

Great info! Thanks Guys! I agree with the simple black. I'm eyeing the Black Rob Roy from USA Kilts.
I also picked up a plain Chrome buckle with belt from edges of time and the $2.00 silver kilt pin from USA kilts. I thought this would be a nice simple / classy look without trying to appear military or flashy.
I also picked up the $2.00 Brass kilt pin incase I wanted to use my White belt and brass from the Corps but upon matching it to the kilt it was approaching too military for daily civilian wear. I'll post some pics later for your opinions.
I'm lovin' that Gordon Modern though!

Smart choice. I own one of the Buzz Kidder Rob Roy sporrans from USA Kilts, and I love it! It's about the best all-around sporran I have. Congrats on joining the Gordon brotherhood! (hehehe if you couldn't tell, I'm a little partial towards the Gordons...)

SAV,
Do you by any chance know of any pictures of their uniforms? I've browsed the internet but usually only find pics froma distance or action shots which don't show enough detail of their belts, buckles, insignia...
