    Phil mate ,
your bringing back memories of my own holiday.
We stayed in Laggan the first night in Scotland and I have nearly the same pictures of Ardverkie and Broom hill station.
Thanks, it already seems so long ago.

Pardon my lack of knowledge what is the stone in the glass case ?

    Phil,

Fantastic set of pictures, You did a great job on those.

It makes me want to put my Easy Share program back on my computer. I have been using Photoshop, but I believe Easy Share does a better job.

    Stone

The stone is called 'Sueno's Stone', set just off the main road near Forres. It is apparently a Pictish memorial - (a very big one!) to a leader who won a battle there. There is a fort over the other side of the road but we didn't see it. The stone is carved to show rows of decapitated enemies on the front side, and celtic cross and swirls on the reverse. It must be about 30' high.
