On another forum I was referred to as a wannabe scot, on account of the kilt wearing of course.

The comment was in good humour, not malice, so I accepted it in the same spirit.

I remember the Irish having a saying "there are two kinds of people in the world - Irish and those who want to be Irish"

I guess the same might be said by the Scots.

I think I can say that as I see the attitutes of many Scots towards the kilt, I feel they may have lost whatever it might be that would make me want to be a Scot.
I am happy and proud of who I am, wearing the kilt I want reflects that.

We can be who and what we want to be.

There, I feel better now:smile::smile:
