    Burns Nite & Snow

Well the wife & I are off to the Burns Supper and there is a blizzard going on in Utah. I just drove up from SLC and now I have to drive down. The drive down won't be to bad because it is still light but the ride up will be fun. Oh well We wanted to live in the Mountians. Wish Me Luck .

    Thanks All,

The fook was great and even the Haggis was good but a little dry but real good when mixed with the taters.
The trip down was not a white knuckles trip but the one back up was not fun at all. 15 to 25 MPH for a good 20 miles. That was white KNUCKLES
There was a raffel for a weekend stay in a hotel in Edinburgh for this summer. Didn't win! :-? While I was out looking at the silent auction one lady inquired about my kilt. She said it was very nice. I told Her It was a heavy weight SWK and when I told her the price I had three ladys wanted to feel the kilt and how to get one. I think Jerry might get an order or two because they were thinking about getting a kilt for their sons. Told them they would have to hem them if the kids needed shorter than 24''. Marilyn and I had to get home to toast because it was a dry Burns Dinner. Nothing to drink but water and decaf soda.

We made it back in one piece,
    MrBill

Glad to read that you made it back in one peice Mr Bill.

Having driven thru my fair share of blinding snow storms (being the sole teetotaler among most of my friends i was often the designated driver) I have marked more that a few steering wheels by gripping the steering wheel so hard it dented.

sounds like you had a great time at the event to boot - sorry that you didnt winthe raffle - but you did gain the adoration of the ladies there so it was definately an evening well spent.
    ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

I too have made my fair share of such trips over the years. I trust your vehicle is equipped for driving in such conditions. On such trips, I like to take along a pair of insluated nylon trousers and a shovel just in case something unpleasant happens.

Glad you made it back in one piece.
