Hiya,
I've been checking in on this site for about 2 weeks, and I'm hooked. I've posted a few times, asking questions and advice, laughing at some of the comments, and a general feeling of welcome from everyone.
About me?...I'm of mostly Scottish and Irish heritage, with a little German and English thrown in to confuse people. I'm soon to reach the 50yr milestone(in June). I live in Springfield, Oregon, Hence the moniker Oregonscot. I'm just a stones throw from Moghli. He has been gracious enough to already invite me out for a kilt night, when I get my first kilt. Which I hope will not be too far in the future. I do have a bit of an odd sense of humor, and will laugh at myself even if no one else will.
I have always been interested in my heritage, the pipes, and the wearing of the kilt. After finding this site my interest has grown in leaps and bounds, and it's all your faults......thanks.

Welcome to the group. As I said oce before, There is a rare and highly contageous affliction about amongst us. It can be fatal to your bank account. It's called kilt wantus and is characterized by an irrational desire to purchase more and more kilts.

Welcome
50 eh? that's a good age to begin thinking about kilts. you're past the age of caring of what people think of you and ready to enjoy your last 50 years or so in a way that you never thought possible.
Kilts will do that for you
Glad you could be here.

Graham, I'm 59 next month I'll take another 20 or 30 but not 50. Didn't think I'd make it this far.
