    MX-5 Miata Tartan?

Looking for pics of myself at Deal's Gap, I found the MX-5 tartan (I was unaware there was one)!!!

    http://www.tartans.scotland.net/tart...tartan_id=6122

    http://www.tartansauthority.com/web/...rtan=By+Tartan

Crap!!!! Now I have to get that one too!!!!! (YET another kilt  )

    On another forum,
    http://www.mx-5.com/forum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=257
    I found:
"The 2003 Main National event of the UK MX-5 Owners Club was for the first time held in Scotland.

As part of the arrangements the local Area organisers had a tartan designed and made.

Because the event is in Scotland the central committee agreed to theme the gift, so we set about with the countries foremost kiltmaker Geoffrey (Tailor) to design a completly new tartan, which has now been created and officially registered with the world society for historic tartans. We have had this woven into 100% lambswool scarves about 5ft long, which if retailed would come in about £15, and which you will be receiving as your members gift for attending the rally.

The tartan is really quite classic and incorportaes all the colours of the original MX5's including a hint of mariner..?

You will also be able to purchase knee rugs and full size rugs in the tartan at the show amongst other regalia products.

We have also be fielding many enquiries about having more regalia produced in the tartan, shirts, brollies etc.
As it is registered to the club forever they will be including a range of official MX5 owners Club tartan products in the next revision and some should always be available once established.

It is a material suitable for kilt making, scarves, and travel rugs.

I doubt if it would be at all suitable for a hood - or even a hood cover...

There is a similar thread to this at the Area's website: http://www.mx5scotland.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=837

Since the request is for two kilts I'm presuming it's actually the same person!"

Anyone ever heard of this one before?????

    Correct!!!

Officially-> "Mazda MX-5 Miata" in US (and maybe a few nearby places- Canadians chime in here)
Now- Mazda MX-5 (officially no "Miata," though still used in advertizing)

I used the international name for the sake of the international forum.
