SWK here!
Ordered on the 18th delivered today! That is a freakin' record. I live in Calif. It fits size 44 I lost weight Didn't lose, it removed it It is light weight and maybe exactly what I've been looking for. Now if I can just get over the hump about wearing them on the job. Better place for UKs but, this is only $40! I really don't like basting stitches , but really good at removing them

Ya know, it seems all right, less bulk than the standard. I may wear it to work any way Got all the basting stitches out. It is definately lighter, buckles are less substantial. The stitches do not go down the fell as far as the standard. The liner is a lot shorter. Pretty much it is exactly what I expected from reading the SWK description. I will wear it tomorrow and let you guys know what I think. Right now I'm satisfied! 48 bucks with shipping!

SWK is awesome with shipping. The economies are nice light weight pieces... I find them quite nice on hotter days. Yes, basting stitches ARE evil to remove, but are quite helpful in regards to shipping the garment.

Congrats. . What's the tartan? Was it Gordon? I can't remember now...
I have a SWK Wallace Econo, and I LOVE it. I actually like it more than the standard I have... but that's just me... I think the only thing they have anymore that I REALLY want is the McLeod Hunting... I think... and a brown sporran...

You have a fine garment my friend! I've some SWK's and am comfortable with their fit and wear. I would that they were shorter to the knee in length, as I prefer to have no cloth constantly making contact and being an annoyance there. A fine tailor cured that condition, but it would cost less for me if SWK offered a length 2 to 4in (5 to 10cm) shorter.
I found the basting to be a mixed help/non help. For secureness of cloth in shipping it was perfect. For fitting upon delivery to see if it was what I wanted, what could I do but remove the basting and try the kilt on for examination. If it was illfitted I'd have to rebaste and send back. I'm no tailor or seamstress. (No, my other dear friends out here, I wouldn't use the stapler! )
My kilt wardrobing goal is simple. Get more.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

1st impression on the economy SWK
Wow 22 inches. Word to the long legged you will want to wear this one lower . It is much lighter a good thing as it was close to 90. I'm a heat wimp. Sweated like crazy any ways. What I love is no itching. Now I need to find a good way to protect it, as I will be wearing his more often. I have a job that is rough on kilts. I have an idea will work on it and tell you later. Body glide is a wonderful thing. Very comfortable today despite the weather. Not an 8 yarder either which is good as I did a lot of driving today.
