    Incredible deals at Tartanweb.com

Now this may be a typo, but it sure looks like a lot of kilts are being cleared out from www.tartanweb.com (same company as Scottishkilts.net). Here are some of the screaming deals I just noticed (thank goodness I don't have my credit card on me today )
    Irish-American 5 yard http://www.tartanweb.com/specialoffe...wool_kilt.html
Irish American 8 yard machine sewn http://www.tartanweb.com/specialoffe...ched_kilt.html
Irish American 8 yard handsewn http://www.tartanweb.com/specialoffe...ched_kilt.html
Hunting Stewart 5 yard PV casual kilt http://www.tartanweb.com/specialoffe...sual_kilt.html

Great deals guys, but I suspect this may be a typo!

I agree on the typo Colin. No matter what currency you select the price is the same.

Too bad. I've been eyeing that Irish American tartan for awhile now.

It's a typo. If you go through the process of ordering it, you'll see that the charge is $111.92 for the 5 yard machine sewn, which is about the price it is on the other scottishkilts.net sites, give or take a few bucks.

I just ordered one, I've been wanting a buckle they offer but wanted to make it a real order. It rang up true when I did it. 69.95 P.S., We'll see. O'Neille

Oddly enough the Hunting Stewart shows up as $50 when the currency converter is clicked but ends up $80 at the checkout screen...gremlins?
At $50 I'd be a fool NOT to order one...

Although the price will be less tha VAT, you'll make up for it in duties owed. I plan to stick with kiltmakers on this side of the pond. Plans do change, though, depending on the exchange rate....

...and the Turp-meister anticipated my next question: anybody have experience with this company and can let us know what kind of oppresive duties, tariffs or customs fees we can expect on the purchase of one of these tempting morsels?

I must admit that I am trying to forbear here and not raid the slowly growing kilt fund which already does have a specific objective in mind. I also have to think that I'd have to go with the domestic kiltmakers just to thwart the customs man...with respect to those overseas, plenty of talent here in N. America...
