Thumbs up Went a little overboard I think.....

Tax time. Ahhhhhh!! Since the recent seperation and upcoming dissolution of my marriage, this is the first time I have had any tax return money that I can actually spend on myself! I'm making good use of it I think.

After paying a few bills, and putting a little away in savings, I decided to get a couple of things that I could never afford, nor be allowed to have whilst married. One was a new pistol, (sold off my collection of guns shortly after the wedding.) and the overboard part. I have not one, not two, but three Kilts on order!!

    WHOOT!!!

Kilt #1, a stillwater standard in Black Stewart. (also got a few hangers and some hose on special)

Kilt #2, A utilikilt in original, realtree camo. For use this summer hiking with my son at the local state parks and forests.

and Kilt #3, a Sportkilt youth kilt for my son! While looking at tartan selections last fall, my son wandered in and was helping me choose a tartan. He chose the USA tartan as one he liked, and told me that he wanted a kilt in that tartan! I swear, absolutely no urging from me to get one.(I was forbidden to encourage him to wear a kilt by my wife.) Up to that point, he was momma's little helper in telling daddy it was a skirt. Once he picked a tartan he liked, it was all about wearing a KILT like Daddy. He even started correcting momma when she said skirt! I love my son!!! (it was shortly after that I made the X-kilt for him)

so, 3 kilts ordered, paid for, and hopefully on thier way soon! Ahhh, the sweet Jonesing begins! Now, for my last kilt related tax money expenditure, to become a member of the Brotherhood of the kilt, and a couple t-shirts to wear with the new kilts.

And, I have recruited two of my friends into kilting. One ordered his first kilt last monday from stillwater, and the other will be ordering his soon. (maybe I should buy him one of the economys as a gift to get him started sooner...)

Geez....I am so pumped!!!! Pics of my son in his kilt as soon as I get them.

Woohoo!! Sounds like a good plan.

Glad to hear that your son has come around, and that you've recruited a couple of friends!! Keep up the good work!!

"Overboard" -- well, I think you've probably been around this rabble long enough to know that "overboard" around here would be something like acquiring a collection the size of Hamish's and Riverkilts' at in one purchasing spree, and having to add an addition onto your house to hold it!
