A message from a member of the “Mod Squad”
The Moderating Staff here at XMTS volunteer their time here to try to make this on line community a pleasant, productive, and family friendly place. As of late there have been several incidents where some fairly new members have been contacted by the Mod Squad, either by PM, on the open forum, or through use of the forum’s infraction system and informed that their behavior has not been in keeping with XMTS rules . I am surprised at how many of these have failed to make an impression on the offenders.
While there are instances where a problem is a simple misunderstanding or on occasion where perhaps we have made a mistake, on the whole our track record is pretty good. If we contact you, be it subtly, unsubtly, or officially it really behooves the individual to take a moment and consider their behavior. We have and will ban individuals that can’t follow the very basic rules of this forum or cause unpleasantness.
The Mod Squad isn’t perfect, but we try our very best for this place. Our only reward is a copper kilt pin that sometimes seems like a badge of honor and more often like a target. Oh, and one more very important thing, we also get a great sense of pride in being able to keep this place a good one.
There is a saying that bears repeating
If you go about your day and run into an unpleasant situation with a nasty person, odds are that that person was a jerk.
If you go about your day and run into many unpleasant situations with many nasty people, odds are that you are the jerk.
Something to think about.
Help us and work with us to keep this a forum that we can all be proud of.
Respectfully
Jamie

Well said sir. Why even in my limited role as House Chairman, I have found of late more criticism than anything else.

Keep up the good work guys! It's a thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it... and I'm glad it's not me.

:thank you: Thank You, THANK YOU for helping with the upkeep of the rabble. Thus far, this forum has been a great pleasure, and the variety of people have made it one of instant friendship. The X-Marks "staff" have managed to make it great. Sometime in the future I will learn how to make some things work in spite of my computer. The trouble is mine not the boards. Keep up the GREAT work.
