Thanks for the TV link Redshank - great views of the kilt and you could really appreciate the movement as he walked.

He seems like a very cool guy!
The Scottish folks that I have know are very forthright, honest, and humble people, which Mr. Smeaton is a very good example. That said, I wouldn't want them angry with me!
I also think it's huge being honored by the queen. It sort of sends a message to the world that their life is somehow unified. The queen and a baggage handler can stand together in the face of worldwide terrorism and celebrate resistance to a very dishonorable way of doing business. It's hard for me to explain because we don't have a queen here and the whole royal thing is quite beyond me (I'm not being critical here, I just have no scope of reference). I assume that those were his parents in the film and they stated it very clearly with the word "genteel"
Anyway, good for him, he deserves it!
