Last night in Dallas, there was a scotch tasting at the Tipperary Inn for some XMarkers and some Scottish dancers. The meetup was organized by RowdyRed (thanks, Rowdy!), and we had a blast.

On to the photos!

The four whiskies we tasted: Auchentoshan (10 yr), Glenrothes (Select Reserve), Glenrothes (1991), and Bowmore (12 yr).

XMarkers in this photos: the back of my head; sitting at the top of the table on the left in a white T-shirt is ronusan; to Ron's right is HallmarkTx. The guy to my right (Robert), checks out XMarks, but I'm not sure what name he goes by (Rowdy can probably answer); and the back of Rowdy's head is to Robert's right. The rest of the people are in a Scottish dance group with Rowdy, I believe.

Cynthia and me (still sunburned from running around outside last Saturday).

After the tasting, other drinks were had. Here is Cynthia's Black Guinness (Guinness and black currant liqeuer/syrup?). It was very tasty, and had I not been driving, I would have had one after my black and tan.

Cynthia's long hair...RowdyRed's tartan.

The gents: Brandon/Lambda at the top of the stairs. On the left, top to bottom is Robert and Mike (from RowdyRed's dance group). On the right, top to bottom: me, Ron/Ronusan, and Mark/HallmarkTx.

The ladies...top to bottom: Cynthia, Margo (from RowdyRed's dance group), and RowdyRed.

Lambda's pipes.

Lambda playing the pipes. (He's very humble about his skill...he gets a very moving tone from the pipes!)

It was a very fun evening. The tasting was great, the friends even better, and I can't think of a better way of wrapping up a wonderful evening than being outside in the wind, listening to a piper!

I look forward to the next kilt night!
