    Kilt Math #60 Ordered

Because some of you have asked...and I'm confused...

Kathy Lare says my Macdonald Lord of the Isles Hunting Weathered (16 ounce Lochcarron Strome...slobber, drool) is being sewn up now.

I have three USA Kilts semi-trads on order from Rocky. MacLean Hunting, Dress Gordon, and Gunn Modern.

That makes 60 Kilts that I've purchased since I got the addiction bad a few years ago.

But I've also gotten olde and fat and outgrown a bunch of kilts. So since I started selling the kilts I'm too fat to wear anymore I've sold 25 of them. They all seem to have new life with a smaller owner now.

So, I currently have 31 kilts with four on order.

Six of those 31 are still for sale. If, by chance, they sell, then I'll have 25 kilts left with four on order.

If you're still with me you're better at math than I am.

If you're married, don't let your wife read this post, it might scare her.

    The addiction is real....very real....

I still lust after an RKilts eggplant leather and the Antarctic tartan.

I made the mistake of reading your post out loud to the Mrs before giving it a once-over first. Yep, it scared her, particularly as I'm waiting for what is only my second kilt to arrive from Jerry any time now (second in 6 weeks though!) and have promised that I - cough - probably won't want any more!

Just wait until you get that first hand tailored one... Man, will that ever make a liar out of you!

Hey Ron, maybe you need to develop a 12-Pleat program for kilt addicts. Then you could sell bumper stickers that say" I'm a Friend of Ron M".

Shouldn't it be a 24 or even a 48 pleat program. A lot of small simple pleats to cross so there is a continuing sense of progress. And think of the swish ans swoon factor of 24 or 48 pleats verses just 12.

Then you get to the reverse pleat and have to start over again

    Math checks out, Ron.

    Here is a number chart.
    60-4 = 56
    56-25 = 31
    31-6 = 25
    25+4 = 29

So you will have a total of 29 kilts in the end. That's a prime number!

    Cool! 29 eh?

Tell you what. I think I've spent enough on kilt accessories to equal the gross national product of a small third world country.

Here's where the money went for the kilts.

    21 USA Kilts
    15 Utilikilts
    9 Kathy's Kilts
    4 AmeriKilts
    3 SportKilts
    3 Freedom Kilts
    3 Pittsburgh Kilts
    1 RKilt
    1 Celtic Croft

Nine different kiltmakers...thats a good spread.
