online pics of pleated to stripe, red and blue tartan

    Hello all

A couple years ago I remember seeing some pics online of a red and blue tartan pleated to the stripe that showed 3 very different possible looks from the same tartan, just depending on how it was pleated. Anyone have an idea of what that site may be?

As I recall, the Buchanan does that quite well. Check out Matt Newsomes blog on the subject Click Here
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Thanks for replying. I am looking for a site that used a length of fabric just gently folded to show 3 distinct patterns from the same fabric. All 3 styles were shown in 1 picture, and I'm pretty sure the fabric was almost all red and blue.
I am considering an "american" type fabric for fire/police funerals and wondering if I can use 1 tartan that will be seen as "relevant" to both fire and police, some red and blue both, but I also want a nice tank that is pleated to the stripe. Just wanted to get a look at the pic for ideas.
The USAK American Heritage I also like alot.

I'm guessing you're thinking of Nick Fiddes' ebook, Kilts & Tartan Made Easy. The tartan used appears to be the Parker tartan.

That was going to be my guess. He's got a pic in there of the three different pleatings.

I don't usually plug my own products outside of the USAK category, but since this is directly related, I wanted to make sure you knew they were available:

    Firefighters Memorial Tartan:

    Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Tartan:

Also, the American Heritage tartan shown in the 2 pics above:

    Thanks Rocky

I am looking at each of those as well, looking for a piping tartan that would be somewhat relevant to police and fire. I think the US National would probly be pretty close.

update: From the pics above and others, I just ordered a USAK casual American Heritage pleated to the white stripe.
