tartan hose
Still working on Argyll hose to match my kilt (rather my sweet wife is)...
Here's the question she posed me...most of the professional tartan hose I've seen do not seem to have a ribbed cuff as such the way other kilt hose have. The "turn-over" seems to be a full square wide (3"?) and seems to be knitted inside out so that when it is turned over it appears the same as the sock lower on the leg.
Is there some sort of finished edge that is tucked under the "cuff" or how exactly is that done?
Can anyone who owns a nice pair of these take a couple of close-up shots or describe how the top of the hose is finished off?
Thank you
