    a little belt advice

As i am new to being kilted and i am looking for a belt i decided to do i search on here for belts just to see what came up, one of the firt posts i stu, bled across was puffers alternatives to the standard belt post where he shows some of his belts including his stable belts.

I thought this looked quite good so i got mine (which coincedentaly i hadent put away after i took it off earlier) and had a quick look to see how it looked against my blackwatch tartan kilt.

now as it is 1 am here i never botherd checking to see how it looked while worn but i got a picture so id like to know what you guys out there think as i'll admit im not anyones first choice for fasion advice or colour co-ordination

sorry the pictures not too good but i used my phone to take the pics instead of a camera. Any advice on how you think it looks is apreciated

Please yourself, but I've never thought that sable belts look right with a kilt.

With all the varieties of leather belts available, with a tartan kilt, I personally would go with a leather belt. Colour would be determined by the kilt, shoes and sporran. (They should match)

I agree with Carolina Kiltman. I prefer a leather belt with the kilt. That being said, if you like it then wear it. If you like something, then you will usually look good in it.

I note that you are from Aberdeen so you will be going against UK convention(not rules,I think) in wearing military gear ,certainly if you have not served in that particular unit. Now in this case mixing your Royal Airforce(?) stable belt and Black Watch kilt is bound to raise an eyebrow, at the very least, with some military types over here! So,best not, in my view.
