    buckle shoes

I am looking for shoes to go with my irish style kilts - ie the piper style with buckles. So far my web searches have come up blank. lots of gillie borgues and spats. does anyone have a link to a supplier?

    I've done something similar.

    Buy these shoes...
    http://jas-townsend.com/product_info...roducts_id=244

And install these buckles on them...

    Hope this helps.

I found these on ebay last year, look for Scottish Mess Dress, or Buckle brogue or similar searches. Nichol Bros folded a while ago, these are old stock buckle brogues, there may yet be more of these out there to be had. I do know that this seller has them from time to time, however there are others out there as well

They're available here under "Band, Pipers & Drummers Insignia". Sometimes you see them on EBay (I've got a very nice set of plain silver ones from there); I got mine from someone here on XMarks after posting a request to the "Wanted" section.
