B S G Kilt Jacket?
A few of us have been posting on the Off Topic category on a thread about the final episodes the TV series on SciFi, Battlestar Galactica. I’ve been watching the series since the beginning. With my recent acquisition of the XMarks tartan kilt I wanted to get a bomber type jacket to go with it.
Thanks to Riverkilt who had leaded me to the Sportsman Guide, I’ve found my jacket that will go with the XMTS kilt and capture the look of BSG. Here it is, a French Navy Security Jacket.

I will be decorating it with a few of these trinkets I found at Interglactical Trading Company. Zardoz's BSG Kilt pin lead to me to google where I may find one. It's here at ITC. Yeah, I ordered one one of those too!

The orders have been placed.

Cool idea. Some friends of mine and I costume as Colonial Marines from the "Aliens" movie and a few of us are doing up kilts as part of the costume this coming year at Dragon*Con.
I have a few friends who are cast of BSG and I'm trying desperately to get one (or more) to grab kilts. Last year I almost managed it; we went to find the UtiliKilt stand at Dragon*Con, but no luck with merchandise. Was hoping for something earlier in the year at San Diego Comic-Con too, but had no luck there either. Maybe this year.

Derek, you are a modest guy.
Check out Derek's website. Great photos and there's Derek's bud, Richard Hatch! You have an interesting career.
I remember 'Roper Room' when it first orginated. Before your time.

I appreciate your kind words; thank you. I seem to have a lot on my plate at the moment with various projects...
I had Richard ready to go get a Utilikilt, but alas, no luck. Again, maybe this year! Who knows... I think it'd be great though!

Jacket has arrived.
The jacket arrived, today! I was sweating out the size, but it fits perfectly. I am really happy with the purchase. The liners in the chest and sleaves zip out so it will function for more than one season.
I got an email notice today also, from the Intergalactical Trading Company that the credit card # probably had a transposed number as it didn;t go through. So, I need to rectified that before I get the badges for the coat. So you may see a pix without the badges soon.

That's me alright, that was taken at a VIP cocktail mixer prior to Babelcon in Baton Rouge last year. I had an interesting talk with Richard, mostly about some of his work other than BSG, like when he replaced Michael Douglas on 'The Streets of San Fransico' TV show etc., Then Suzie Plakson showed up and I had to devote all my attention to her!
