Bagpipoes Re-Patriated from New Zealand

My next neighbour learned to play bagpipes at an early age. His elderly tutor had visited a grandson in New Zealand prior to his death and had left his bagpipes there as a gift for the grandson. The grandson had no real interest in piping and the family has now donated the bagpipes to Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band, in which my neighbour tutors the young members. The bagpipes have now arrived back in Scotland and been re-furbished and here my neighbour prepares to try them out. A few moments later he was playing a good impromptu rendition of Highland Cathedral.
