RIP Joe

I have just heard the sad news of the death of Joe Kilna Mackenzie. For those of you who have no knowledge of Joe, he was the main man in the Scottish celtic band "Clan An Drumma". The present Mrs Journeyman and myself have spent many happy times listening to Joe and his band at various venues around Scotland. He wore the plaid proudly and produced some wonderful sounds from his drums. His most famous lament is featured in the final battle scenes of the Mel Gibson epic movie "We Were Soldiers". Whether you like the movie or not you have to respect the man who made the sounds.......
