What to do on a beautiful afternoon?

Why, wear my x-kilt on errands, of course! It was a perfect day here today, sunny and mid 70s F. So I threw on my x-kilt and ran a handful of errands around town. I'm pleased to say that I got no questions and not a sidelong glance--at least that I noticed. I'm always on my guard a little more in a contemporary kilt since they're not quite as recognizable as kilts to the general public, so I was relieved to get little or no attention.

It was another great kilted day. But then all kilted days are great, aren't they?

Anyone else spend some quality kilted time today?

    David

Spent part of the day at the vets with the new puppies getting their 8 week shots. The girls there like the kilts, and liked the new SWK Irish National. I wore it today to get it a little broke in.

I just hiked the 6 mile round trip to the grocery store to get some stuff for my lunches. I usually do that twice a week and put everything I get in a backpack. I got a few looks, and no comments, but I never really worry about it. It was a great, if not a little hot, day today.

I did some shopping, got my hair cut etc. at the market I was told they have no Haggis I also was told that one of the cashiers liked me, when I went to get the haircut I ended up discussing tradition with the stylist. It was a good day, I wore my X-MarkstheScot tartan with blue Hawick hose, yellow garter ties and a short sleeve Scotland rugby shirt.

Put on my Albannach wool great kilt and went shopping for groceries, the newspaper, grabbed a sandwich at the local pub, and a trip to the bank, the library and back home. All without a negative comment, and two " F#@%$ing awesome, dude" from two teenage boys on the subway.

Wearing my SWK Nightstalker with a perfectly matched GCS Nashville t-shirt and black hiking boots. Very casual and comfy. Started off with a nice jaunt in the field with the kids and dane and then headed to work. After midnight numbers, it will be time to imbide a little before closing time!

I had to work, but at least I was able to do so kilted today, since May 21st is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. My employer encouraged folks to celebrate their heritage by decorating their offices or office doors to reflect their heritage. We were also encouraged to dress in a way that's unique to our heritage.

Black polo and hose and Douglas Modern USA Casual. I also hung my Saltire on my door, along with facts about Scotland and famous Scots. I heard lots of "I didn't know that" today outside my door.
