Today my son and his family dropped by, our avenue is a convenient spot to park for the shops - little grandson, just 5 weks old, howling at the top of his lungs. I went out, held the little fellow for a few minutes whilst the pushchair was set up and the waterproof cover put on.

The wailing died down a little, I praised his increased weight, his strong limbs and how he held up his head so steadily, I admired his new clothes, then placed him carefully in the pushchair and waved goodbye as the wailing ramped up to full force again but faded into the distance as they headed for the main road.

Ah yes - now you can give them back when they are noisy.
