    An Unusual Tartan

    Living with a kilt maker, I recently had the chance to come across a quite unusual tartan : The Reiver or Buccleuch.

    I've always admired that particular tartan, Robert, due to its resemblance to the Burns Check and Nothumberland/Shepherd tartan.

    It is interesting to note that the pipers one of the Territorial Battalions of the King's Own Scottish Borderers wore the Buccleuch tartan/check.

    Those check patterns are nice.. I like McMurdos Burns check jacket.. And I have seen a couple kilts from the Burns check... Very nice

    I really like it too, one of these days I need to get a kilt in Burns Check, now that would be something.
