Another plus from kilt wearing
This morning I performed an activity that I haven't done in many years. I confronted another individual physically. There I was heading out to the car wearing my newly arrived Apocokilt from Kiltedcarver (thanks Eric!)when I notice the inside light on in one of our vehicles. Being somewhat curious about this anomaly I circled around the back of the rig only to (literally) be run into by a car prowler. Needless to say I was not real happy. I did manage to hold on the the culprit until the local police arrived. The two squad cars came and took the perp away. I must say that the kilt held up well even though the velco came undone on one side and it did slip down a bit during the tussle, but more importantly I was afforded the freedom of movement that I would not have had if I was wearing my usual attire.
The local cops know me for several reasons among them is that I am the only long haired, bearded, trike riding, conservative, red neck kilt wearer in town. We had a good talk while they filled out their paper work and one of the comments was "I wonder how the 19 year old punk is going to explain to his buds how he got caught and his @ss whupped by a 60 year old man in a skirt!"...lots of chuckles all around!
About an hour later, I realized that I had been a foolish old bonehead and that I could have been hurt or worse; so I don't recomend letting testoserone over take good judgement...but then again there might be something about wearing camo that takes us back to our youth!!!!

Good on ya!
Adrenaline and testosterone are powerful. They often cause us to react as opposed to assess and think about a situation. I had a similar "rush" this past Autumn. Chasing him down would have been MUCH easier in a kilt than the pants I was in.

We need more people to stand up like that. You just let me catch someone trying to rip me off.

Good job Rob! I had a similar meeting in my garage last November, although I was prepared in such a way to detain the thief with out a physical confrontation until the deputies got there.

I find it hard to believe that you are the only long haired, bearded, trike riding, conservative, red neck kilt wearer in town.
