Nana, where is the kilt?
Most of this year I have been looking after my grandson 9 to 5 during weekdays and he has become used to being able to take a nap or a rest sitting on my knee with the apron of my kilt over him to keep him cosy.
Last week I wore trousers for two days and he was most perplexed to find that this useful accessory was unaccountably absent, even though he looked for it - life is such a puzzling thing when you are just 8 months old.
This week I put on a kilt again, and I just wish I'd had a camera to record the delighted expression on his face. I noticed that he kept a firm hold on the fringe just in case someone tried to steal it again.
