I hereby proclaim myself the founding member of The International Union of Kilted Professionals - an association of licensed, certified, and badged professionals proudly wearing kilts in the workplace.

The year is 2010, FIFTY years after professional women won the "right" to wear pants in the workplace. Its time for the nonsense to stop.

Corporations understand unions. A man shouldn't have to stand alone against a whimsical employer.

Nothing against blue collar kilting. My union membership was with the United Mine Workers as an underground miner.

I believe that professionals who are intelligent and skilled enough to earn a license, a certification, or a badge in their profession should have the freedom to choose how they wish to dress in the workplace.

Should they get hassled, like women were once hassled for wearing pants into the professional workplace, I believe they should have organized support. Perhaps even legal representation, and certainly a long list of case law to lay out before their employer.

A baby idea now.
