Arizona tartan available from Dalgliesh
Been working with my kiltmaker, Kathy Lare, who has been working with D.C. Dalgliesh to weave up enough Arizona Tartan material for a kilt. Yes, its a special weave but not that expensive. Available in either 13 ounce or 16 ounce.
Apparently there's no benefit to a group order - already a good price. If you've an interest have your kiltmaker arrange the tartan through Dalgliesh.
Mods, if this is in the wrong place go ahead and move it. Just thought there are many folks with a tie to the Arizona tartan who might not see the post on the tartan forum or the Arizona forum.
And, of course, this is the tartan that the late Retro Red wore so proudly. Will post a pic soon.
And oops - typo in the Dalgliesh name in the title...sorry...maybe someone can fix? Thanks

I was wondering if you were ever going to get a kilt in Arizona, Ron. Hope it all goes well.
And you can use the "Report Post" thingy to get the title fixed, if you want.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

The Arizona tartan is almost as nice as the Colorado! Can't wait for the pictures!

Thanks Brian.
Here are pics of the late Retro Red in his Arizona State tartan. Tartan was designed by Dr. Phil Smith. Believe this one was sewn up by Matt.

Off to make my downpayment....WAHOOOO!!

In truth, it was Red who introduced me to that tartan and made me aware of it's existence. He looked damned fine in it.

Now you need to get someone in the Utah Centennial Tartan, and someone else in the New Mexico Tartan, Nighthawk in the Colorado, and Ron in the Arizona in a picture up there at Four Corners, all standing in the wrong states.

A LOUD SALUTE TO DALGLISH
I just received 16 yds if MacLellan Ancient and after I plan consult dream cogitate and conjecture, what I dont use I will sell. The service is personal and prompt, the material i(K1) is of a lovely hard worsted finish and altho heavy as Lochcarron has a set slightly smaller making my pleating decisions easier (a subtle change in the thread count I think).
I have just started my kilt #4 (F&K 16oz Maple leaf, pleated to the green stripe) as a run-up to doing the clan tank of my dreams from the Dalglish. I could not be more pleased with Dalglish
May you find joy in the wee, ken the universe in the peculiar and capture peace in the compass of drop of dew

Matt ordered the material for my Iowa kilt from Dalgleish. I was seriously considering the Arizona tartan, as my father was born in Yavapai County. I may yet order one.

Aye, the material for both my Macdonald of Kingsburgh and Antarctica tartan kilts was woven by Dalgliesh. 16 and 13 ounce respectively. Most pleased with both fabrics.
