    Kingussie Kilt

Chrystel would like to share a photo of the kilt she just finished before she ships it to her customer.

    A Kingussie Pleated kilt.

Here is a link for those who would like information on this unique kilt pleating:

Thank you for posting this and the article. For the first time I understand the Kingussie pleating system!

I like that style, as well as the "reverse-kingussie." It's on my wish list. That one looks really nice. Well done.

    A Question

I honestly ask this as a question and not a criticism and just wanting to learn. If I look at the red stripe in the center of the box pleat it does not align with the tartan at the top waist edge. In fact there is a yellow stripe just right of aligning with the red strip. Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Because the kilt is pleated and the waist band is not, it is VERY difficult to get everything to align. The easiest solution is to make the waist band of another material like this.....

I think Kingussie is a very interesting pleating alternativ. The tartan is very nice to. I sure the owner will be very happy.

You can bet that the front apron of this kilt aligns with all the stripes, since that is all you can guarentee on any kilt.
Very nice lady Chrystel, this makes a great visual of that pleating style. Thank you both for sharing.

Thanks for the various responses, as I said I was just trying to understand and was not in any way criticizing. With the box pleat in the center of the photo it just drew my attention. It is a fabulous kilt that someone will no doubt very much enjoy.
