For another outstanding review of Bonnie's kilt making see tyger's post [http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...7/#post911206]
I spent a few months researching kilts and kilt makers when i decided that I needed a new one for my wedding. I ordered several swatches from scotweb (just about every iteration of stewart tartan that they had) and finally settled on stewart hunting ancient from locharron. After PM-ing with Jeff (Forrestermodern) about his experience with Bonnie I contacted her myself and decided to take the plunge into my first handsewn kilt. That turned out to be one of best purchasing decisions I've ever made.

Bonnie sent me photos of different pleating options with my actual fabric. She also sent photos throughout construction.

pictures after arrival... basting left in because this was months before the wedding.

will post wedding pics after the photographer releases them... look forward to the massive cast for my broken hand. Also the jacket, waistcoat and shirt were made at York's Tailors in Bahrain (that was an adventure in language barriers!) and I think it turned out well.
