    Kilted in Bronte Country

I took the Worth Valley train to visit the home of the Bronte sisters, who wrote their novels in the Parsonage of Haworth church, in Yorkshire, England, where their father was the vicar from 1820 until his death in 1861.

A friendly train driver was pleased to see a kilt.

I was invited onto the footplate of the locomotive

A cheesy grin from the driver.

Appropriately, 80002, which is a 2-6-4 tank locomotive built at Brighton in 1952 had been the last steam engine in service with British Railways in Scotland when it was sold directly to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in 1968.

I arrived at Haworth railway station.

On my walk through the park to the village I met a group of young Chinese tourists.

Playing the role of the Victorian traveller in the museum.
