Advice needed!
Need the kilted rabble's advice. I am at star wars fan days and there is an older gentleman who, besides having his pleats to the front, is very well dressed. Should I tell him and how do I go about it without offending him? I just feel so embarrassed for the gentleman. Kinda like not telling someone when they have a booger hanging from their nose. Please excuse brevity, I'm posting on an iPhone. Thanks so much.

Pleats to the front always made more sense to me - then the pleats don't get messed up when sat on.....
But you could just say something like, "Nice look - something different from the usual pleats to the back."

As I am sure you will do it nicely, I think that it would be kind to inform him. What he does with the information after that, is entirely down to him.

Tell him you are so sorry to see that the transporter beam glitch is still getting body parts backward.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Yes. Be polite about it, turn it into a Star Wars joke if you think it'd help ("Imperial/Republic/Galactic law requires me to let you know..."), phrase it however is nicest, but he should be told. If he wants to do his own think and ignore it that's his problem lol.

Oh, and this is off topic, but I had an experience today that you might appreciate. Somebody bought something at my store and their reciept said that their last name was Gandolf. I looked at them and said "you have the best last name ever" and he was like "yeah..I get that a lot"
Well, used properly humor can soften an awkward comment like that. Or used improperly it can make it worse. Always use your best judgement lol.
That is an epic last name!
