for those days when you absolutely cant wear a kilt...
Or alternatively for those not brave enough... I seem to recall seeing jean paul gaultier in one, not sure why ralph has wimped out...
Notice the fringe on the trousers too...

One to keep an eye on the outlet sales for in 2013 maybe... Should make a nice jacket conversion...

Interesting, but a little weird! It's like a THCD day wear outfit, but for trousers. The jacket is for all intents and purposes an Argyll jacket, but long in the Saxon style. And the trousers are like trews, with a kilt fringe. Seems like an odd but interesting mash-up of Highland and Saxon styles. Perhaps intended for men who like Highland attire but aren't bold enough to wear the kilt?
I could see myself wearing that outfit to work, but without the fringe on the trousers.

I like it. Depending on how much the trousers are, I wouldn't mind having a pair of them.

Fringe is a nice touch...already have tartan pants - not trews - but never wear them...did wear them in protest when was told "no kilt."

I think I really like it. Very tailored and careful. I think it's very smart! I would live an outfit like that and I don't think the trousers would work as well without the longer argyle

I like everything about that outfit except for the fringe on the trousers. I mean, why?
I need to find more occasions to wear my Armstrong tartan trousers this fall. I've worn them in the past with black barathea jacket and a dark navy blue jacket. I keep intending to pair a tweed jacket with them but have not found the right occasion to thus far.

Me too, and I have worn similar in regards to my Saxon wear!

i am too deeply scarred from wearing plaid pants as a child in the mid 70's to ever wear trews. for a while early in elementary school, my mom dressed up my sisters and i in some awful polyester plaid pants and turtle necks. there are some old family photos lost in hurricane katrina that i do not miss.

Hey! Plaid pants were good enough for Merv Griffin....and if it was good enough for Merv....you wouldn't catch me dead in them.

The look is okay in this opinion and the fringe makes 'em not just another pair of pants. Hoping for $175 knock-offs.
