Someone is getting a "California Summer Weight" kilt made from Fraser and Kirkbright Hunting Stewart tartan for Christmas. This fabric was going to be for Mrs. Farlander, to be turned into a kilt skirt for her at the Nor Cal Rabble Stitch 'n B**ch In January but we found some killah wool MacFarlane, red tartan on ebay. So Mrs. Farlander gets the MacFarlane and this "mystery" person gets the Hunting Stewart. It will be a 5-6 yard, knife pleat to sett, machine-sewn. The stuff is a wool-polyester blend. My current throwing kilt, in Lindsay, modern is the same stuff. It's on the light side, but looks good and it's great in the summer....and it's machine washable, to boot.

About two years ago I swore that I'd never make another kilt. I guess I lied!
