First kilted experience
My first public kilted experience, other than festivals and games, was at my father's funeral. He passed August 1, 2012. I had contemplated wearing the kilt to the funeral and at the last minute just when with it. Afterwards, several people said that it was a fitting tribute to my dad that I was kilted. After the services, several of folks started striking up conversations with me of their heritage and clans. What was even better tribute was the piper we hired playing "Amazing Grace" at the graveside. To this day I can not keep my eyes dry when I hear it played on the pipes.
