Tabs idea for my Royal Air Force kilt ensemble

I was recently musing over what tabs to wear with my RAF tartan kilt, I have black and various blues which suit the general coloration of the kilt but I was interested, for occasions when I may want to make more of my RAF heritage than normal whether tabs that follow the design of the RAF Tactical recognition flash might be a cool idea.
To expand, this combination of dark blue, sky blue and maroon is seen on ties, stable belts and vertically on the right arm as a patch when wearing combat clothing. The blue being to the viewers left and the maroon to the right with a narrow band of sky separating the two.
Not surprisingly, the commemorative medal of the RAF association has this as its ribbon which is about wide enough for a tab. I have bought a metre today and I wondered how different types might set the tab up.

    For instance,
two tabs where the blue blue red is followed a son the right arm patch and there is no 'side'.....

Two tabs where on both legs the dark blue faces rear to mirror image the practice as often seen with military insignia

Two tabs where the maroon is doubled at the centre with the navy forming the outer colour

    Or other ideas?

This is, as I say, an alternative for certain occasions.

    What do we think?
