    First kilt for my grandson

Our daughter called up the other night and said that she had just received a onesie for her 2-month-old baby that says "Pants Are Over-rated". She thought it was too good an opportunity to pass up - he needed a kilt to go with it before he outgrew the onesie. Took me an hour or so to make a teeny weeny kilt out of some PV that I got from Rocky awhile back. Thought I'd post a few pics. I included my sewing scissors for scale - that is one little kilt. Tartan is Murphy/Tara, hand stitched, of course. And for you kiltmakers - ironically, it's the only kilt I've ever made where the top band matches the tartan in the apron, the underapron, _and_ the pleats center back!

Gorgeous, wee kilt, Barb! Stephanie and I will definitely need a couple of these for when we have a couple of wee bairns ourselves. So very cute!

Best grandmother ever. Just wondering....can I order a couple of those for my calves? I'm thinking a new trend here-"pleated kilt hose". What a lucky young lad.
