My first kilt!!!!
Hello all,
Finally got my first kilt(Grand Lodge of Scotland Tartan) and wore it to my lodge. Very well received by all. I expected some good natured ribbing and to my surprise got nothing but compliments. I was very nervous at first but the wife loves it and I found myself quite disappointed to be taking it off that evening.
Take care,
Paul

Greetings Paul,
Glad that you've joined the ranks of the enlightened! This is all part of the initiation process. It just gets better from here. The fact that your wife is "on board" is a huge help. As for taking it off... intil someone invents a wrinkle proof sleeping kilt, that is, unfortunately, part of the deal.

Welcome, Paul! The first kilt is always a special feeling, well, not as special as the second! No, I mean the third, no - fourth, no - fifth... You'll soon understand!

I am positively peagreen with envy!!!!!!
I will eventually save enough to get a Masonic Tartan Kilt. I've been pining for ones ever since I found the tartan.
Wear it with Pride Brother.

Congratulations Paul. The first time out is always a little jarring. Glad yours went so well, it just gets better from here. It won't be long before you're like the rest of us, dreading those days that you have to wear pants. Welcome to the group.

Paul,
Welcome to the world of kilt wearing!!
Cannot wait to hear all the stories that you come across.
The only real kidding I get is from my jealous non kilted friends. Nine times out of ten, all you get are positives.

Hank with all that you have provided for the online kilted community, are you telling us that you have not yet started yourself a Kilts Night? Are there not enough people in the vacinity to start one?
