I purchased these hose specifically for an event but had my eye on them for at least a year, it does take a while to decide to spend this much on a pair of socks after all. The fit is perfect and they certainly will keep me warm as the temperature drops. The colour is Gritstone and I think they work wonderfully with the Wildcat tartan, with the understanding that some may find them matchy. I think these are great however they do take some time to get used to as they are itchy. One thing I really do like is that on the back of the label you have the name of the knitter and where they were produced. I really think that while these may not be for the beginner kiltie they are perfect for someone who has been wearing the kilt for a while and would like to step up their hose a notch.
