    moran drummond tartan

    Good Day;
    I found this on the internet. Moran Drummond Tartan. Can someone tell me about it. I have never seen Moran before. Is it a sept or something like Strathallan Drummond. The colour is not anything like Drummond of Perth.

    I saw it in the Scotweb.co.uk when I was searching for Drummond Tartan.
    I may have to make my son a kilt for his wedding.

    Here is the fabric. The site states it comes in 16 oz., 11 oz. wool and a 4oz. silk.

    It is listed as Moran Drummond tartan in Scotweb's new fabric section.

    Yes but what does the Moran mean. I have never seen this tartan before.

    There is a Moran family name tartan on the registry, but no mention of Drummond with it.

    It looks like I can buy it off Scotweb. I told my son about it.
    If he likes it I will ask about using it.
    Thank you for the information.

    Scotweb will sell you almost everything but that does not mean you should buy it. This is a personal tartan designed for a couple's wedding. It is not a free design for anyone to use.

    Perhaps you can also show him the Moran family name tartan which has open permission attached to it.
