Hungarian Scottish skirt (kilt)
Hi guys, my name is G Kovacs .
Young ish dude from Hungary, liwing in the Midlands.
Recently been made an usher in a Scottish wedding and put into a "hybrid kilt" and loved the experience.
And obviously love Scotland, a good Burns night celebration, and a good cèilidh dance. Looking into a Hungarian tartan, just for information gathering. I'd anyone aware or could give me any info that would be very welcomed.
Many thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.
I was in Hungary in 1985 for a couple of weeks for a friend's wedding. I'm sure it has changed a massive amount since then!

It is much better for the tourists, more peeps talking English, more options on tours and all.
Worth a visit for sure.

Sorry, ciouldn't find any obvious tartans connected with Hungary. Searched for Kovac, Hungary, Hungarian, Budapest, Magyar, & Onogur at both the Scottish Tartan Authority website and the Scottish Register of Tartans website. No results. You might try the various county names and the names of the 7 regions. Also tried the three colors in the Hungarian flag, got 77 hits. Good luck with your search.
