Where to buy poppies?
I’m looking to buy a metal poppy pin for Remembrance Day. I want one that helps a charity but the shipping cost for one from the Poppy Appeal cost a fortune for USA shipping. Does anyone know where else to source a meaningful poopy pin?

Traditionally poppies are used to raise money for charity, I was looking for that, otherwise I'd just go on Amazon.

Royal Canadian Legion distributes poppies for a donation after the last Friday in October, but if you contact them before that date, I would assume that they might be pleased to help.

" poppystore.ca "
I'd help you but you'd have to show up at a certain mall at a certain time up here in central Canada where I will be handing them out the week before Remembrance Day and I would gladly give you one.

Individual branches may also be able to help in smaller quantities.

The recent changes in tariffs and cut off points has made it almost impossible for many sales which were simple in previous years.
I have been caught out by the removal of exemption for lower value items so that a knitted gansey which would have been under the limit is now no longer an easy or simple sale. Everything is now subject to tariffs, with some extra fees on top for some things - not sure if it is the type of item or the shippers which determines that.
As far as I know even the smallest value items are now to be charged for the privilege of entering the US, possibly with delays due to the paperwork/documentation, as these are newly imposed. Hopefully your poppy can be posted to you, but there could be complications involved.

What does an American poppy look like? I don't recall ever seeing one.
