Actually, Nighthawk, it really was Panache's post about the shoes that pushed me in that direction. I needed black dress shoes, so I looked at the Target web site and saw some that might be what I was looking for in a shoe. Happened to be out and about, so stopped in and looked at the Oxford Teddy shoes they offered. They were ok, but I went across the street to a shoe store and picked out something that was a little better quality while still affordable to me.
These were basically the same kind of shoe as at Target, but a bit shinier and a little nicer looking: higher quality leather and construction... They were priced at what I had budgeted for shoes, so I went with them. If I had less cash, I would have gone with the Target shoes and been all right with it.
And yes, they will go with a kilt outfit I am starting to put together... As well as, the suits I bought the other day. That's just the way it has to be.
