If I gave the impression of "getting bent" about historical accuracy, then my apologies. As a member of the SUV for 15 years, I have seen such attire among our SCV brothers, and now among our own ranks, given our own "Federal Memorial Tartan".

Personally, I've never been much for mixing reenactment kit with my mufti, but that was mostly due to the fact that I wore the former on a regular basis as a living history ranger with NPS, and I didn't want to wear it on my lieu days.
