I made no effort to play the visitor, but a number of very nice folks introduced themselves and had some real nice conversations. The beer was very good as well and the barmaid was extremely knowledgeable about the beer. Just a suggestion for what it's worth. I had several people rave about Gellions before I visited and while it was fine, I wouldn't suggest it as memorable.
Thanks. It is great for a visitor to recommend a place as we locals often miss the obvious. Do you mean "the Castle Restaurant" by any chance, between Grahams(guns and fishing tackle) and Chisholms(kilt makers), right opposite the back of the castle?
