Kilted Fridays Adventures

For this Kilted Friday, I wanted to dress for a hot humid summer day here in Virginia. It was going to be a scorcher! I selected a USA Kilt casual in Malcolm tartan, a seer sucker shirt, cotton hose, sans sgian-dubh and flashes, desert boots and a plain L&M sporran. Cool!

At the gated community of active adults were I work, I was chasing away a gaggle of Canadian geese from the Clubhouse when one of the ladies going to swimming aerobics inquired about my “kiltedness”. She learned about Kilted Friday which lead to conversation on Scotland, Highland Games, genealogy and DNA testing. Later another conversation with a contractor about the kilt and a compliment from a lady saying I bet you are cool in that! Aye, lass!
