Thanks for the replies, so far. I would like to request that, if possible, links to the source of information be included. Thanks.

User: thanks. However, I was / am hoping for more specific links, so I don’t have to spend days searching through entire huge documents. I had already tried searching for specific, applicable information , but without any luck. I’m hoping that someone with related experience in the new requirements might know ( and share) the specific, applicable information . ( applicable to used wool kilts , lacking documentation of the source of the materials used in construction- the weaving mill, for the wool tartan fabric is no longer in operation. I also have used wool hose, sporrans. ) . I was hoping to find no tariffs on second hand clothing. 😞

USMCA only applies if you have documentation proving the item qualifies. Without that, you'll be subject to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

There is a HTS code for used clothing, but it's intended for clothing that's substantially worn out. Kilts in wearable condition won't quality. So, you'll be charged the same tariff as if you were importing a new kilt.

Thanks for that. Now I “just “ need to see if I can find out what that amount would be.
