In Engineering school they taught us that there are three types of creative people in the world. Artists, Scientists, & Engineers.

An Artist strives to portray the world in a way that will allow others to see it in the way he sees it.

A Scientist looks at the world, studies it, and tries to find a way to let you understand it.

An Engineer looks at the world and asks, "I wonder what would happen if I changed that one little thing."

The Artist and Scientist deal with the world as it exists. They try to create a perception or understanding of that which already is. It is the Engineer, and only the Engineer, who creates something new, something which has never been before. Engineers are the inventors of the world.

We are also often dyslexic, bi-polar, have one or more addictions, have trouble expressing ourselves verbally, seem to be able to understand algebra and geometry but can't handle simple arithmetic, and suffer from egos the size of Texas.
