All I see is a bunch of scruffy louts in dresses.
How do we know they are wearing kilts ?
I see no non-pleated apron , no belt , no sporran , no straps ,
    No Kilt !!!
If T. Hilfiger want to show boys in girls clothes , he could have had the decency have them wearing Burberry 'tartan' skirts .

That's because they're wearing KILTs and they are wearing them the right way around. Those items would be visible from the other view.

Are you joking? I don't get your point.

There is absolutely nothing in that picture that shows that the models are wearing kilts. That may the impression that Hilfiger is trying to get across , but he fails .
It the models were not so scruffily presented , and had their shirts tucked in , and possibly better leg/foot attire , then the concept just might work .
Alternatively , if the photo had been taken from the front it may also have worked .
As it stands , all the photograph depicts , is four models in tartan skirts , with checkered blouses and short socks.

And Archangel , in answer the insult that you deleted ,
I did not arrive here by mistake .
Your mistake will be to insult again .

No offense, but if you look closely you can see the model on the far right is turned slightly towards us and you can see he has a flat, unpleated apron. And there is no seam to indicate that it closes on that side(Men's kilts close on the other side.) Therefore it would appear to be a men's kilt.

Now let's not turn this fun, amusing, long-lived post into a fight that gets the thread closed.

There is no need for anyone to insult anyone else or for anyone to start complaining that a company are showing a bunch of men in dresses.

I have seen many a pleated skirt that has a flat panel in the front .
My contention is that the Hilfiger advert depicts 4 men in tartan skirts .

And I agree with you , no need for a member to insult another member.
Hence my objection to the member Archangel insulting me .
