The short version is that I dress my feet for health and comfort. The assembled rabble are usually too well-bred to call me names, even when it comes to oatmeal hose and black sandals. With dark hose, I would not hesitate; but then I wear black socks and black sandals to church, too. Right now I'm wearing khaki troosers, ragg wool socks, and Chaco sandals; which may be a marginally better combination than the kilt...
